Friday, November 18 is the date of the 4th ‘Living in the Algarve’ seminar event being held at the Anantara Vilamoura Algarve Resort.
The event follows the success of the last event held at Conrad Algarve in September and the two other events held earlier this year in Carvoeiro and Lagos.
The event brings together speakers covering a broad range of subjects from taxation, legal matters and residency to healthcare, education, real estate and foreign currency exchange.
Two identical seminar sessions will be held at 11am and 3pm, and whilst the morning session is already fully booked, at the time of press there was still a limited number of seminar seats available for the afternoon session.
The event is organised by the Open Media Group, publishers of the Portugal Resident, and aims to provide useful information to anyone who is planning on moving to the Algarve.
The speaker line-up, along with tax and legal experts, includes Dr Paulo Sousa, Clinical Director of the HPA private hospital group, who will be giving a speech on healthcare in the Algarve for foreign residents, and Bruno Nande, Principal of English Language Studies at the Vilamoura International School.
Other partner companies for this event are Blacktower Financial Management, The Sovereign Group, ALLAWYERS, Currencies 4 You, Ombria Resort, Fine & Country Algarve and Portugal’s foreign residents association AFPOP.
Similar events are also being organised by Open Media in other countries, with the next date being November 25, 2022 in Marbella (Spain), followed by events in Los Angeles and San Francisco (USA) on February 9 and 11, 2023, respectively. Other locations for events next year, with dates still to be confirmed, include South Africa in June and Lisbon in March.
The ‘Living in the Algarve’ events are held in association with Visit Portugal (the Algarve Tourism Authority) and the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in the UK.
