Spanish retail group Mercadona plans to open four supermarkets in Portugal before 2019 as part of a €25 million expansion plan.
The news came in an official statement released by the group on Thursday (June 23).
Mercadona expects to create 200 jobs in Portugal, which was chosen by the group due to its “logistic proximity to Spain”.
