A court in Porto heard how Spaniard Carlos Javier had a history of domestic violence, but one of the most bizarre complaints by his ex was that he had tried to make her swallow her mobile phone. Javier, 54, is now on trial for the attempted murder of five police officers. He started shooting at them when they surprised him as he levelled a gun at his step-son’s head, Correio da Manhã newspaper reported.
