A Spanish beachgoer, with an apparent history of epilepsy, died on Praia do Coelho, Monte Gordo, yesterday, following what has been described as a ‘sudden indisposition’. According to reports, agents with the national maritime authority’s ‘SEAWATCH’ and INEM paramedics tried resuscitation efforts, including the use of a defibrillator, to no avail. The man was pronounced dead at the local health unit.
