SOUTH AMERICAN ADVENTURE

Algarve tennis ace Rui Machado is continuing his quest to break into the elite top 100 in Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil.

The 26-year-old world No124 made a bright start against Martin Cuevas in Montevideu before injury forced him out of the second round.

This week he is seeded five for the 75,000 dollar Buenos Aires Open where a third round meeting with compatriot Leonardo Taveres is on the cards.
