Galo e Touro Restaurant in Almancil is hosting a South African evening of wine tastings on Saturday, April 11. This will be accompanied by a hot and cold buffet which includes a taste of South Africa.
The evening will be hosted by Bill Godley of Prime Wines and begins at 7.30pm with a welcome glass of fizz.
There will be a selection of six wines available to taste, buy and judge. The wine tasting includes two rosé, two reds and two whites.
“It’s going to be a fun and educational evening with information about the South African region and a quiz to guess the grape variety,” say organisers. A prize of a magnum of bubbles will go to the winner of the quiz.
Some of the wines from the vineyards of Graham Beck, Simonsig, Boschendal, and Culemborg are a few of the selected wines.
Kiss FM DJ Mark Sebastian will be providing music during and after the tasting.
“This is a great opportunity to learn more about South African wines and their uniqueness.”
Welcome drinks at 7.30pm. Ticket price is €20. Tickets need to be purchase in advance from the restaurant.
