Soundscapes – a musical journey from classical to fado

A concert by Dell’Acqua, featuring female trio Carla Pontes (soprano), Grace Borgan (flute) and Cristiana Silva (piano), is taking place on Friday, October 20 at the Lagoa Auditorium at 9.30pm. Guest artists are Rui Afonso (percussion) and Mónica Pereira (dance).

Entitled “Soundscapes”, the concert is organised by Lagoa cultural association Idéias do Levante, in partnership with Lagoa municipality.

The trio will perform works by Alain Oulman (1928-1990), Ariel Ramírez (1921-2010), Dulce Pontes (1969), Ernesto Leite (copyright 2008), Heitor Villa-lobos (1887-1959), Javier Cedrón (copyright 1999), among others.

Dell’Acqua will depart from their customary classical repertoire and take their audience on a musical journey through time. “With the vocal versatility of soprano Carla Pontes, embellished by the sounds of the flute and the piano, the trio will explore a range of styles from classical music to the Portuguese repertoire of Fado,” say organisers.

Tickets cost €8 and can be purchased at the ticket office of the Lagoa Auditorium (282 380 452).
