Somewhere by the seaside in England

Actresses Celia Williams and Amanda Booth perform in Deckchairs, a selection of short plays by Jean McConnell, under the direction of Jon Pedersen. The plays all share a common setting – somewhere by the seaside in England – and portray a moment in the lives of two women, whether by chance or design. The short plays are sometimes humorous, sometimes touching, but always written with truth and compassion. Deckchairs will be performed on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, at 9.30pm, until February 5 at Estrela Hall, Rua da Estrela 10, in Lisbon (next to the British Hospital).
