Rotary Club Estoi Palace International (RCEPI) has supported local Estoi school EB2/3 Poeta Emiliano da Costa for many years. On April 6, a dinner organised by RCEPI and the school board was held at the school for the second year to help raise funds for the less privileged pupils.
A total of 74 people attended and enjoyed an “excellent” meal prepared and served by the pupils studying catering.
During the dinner, Ana Roque and João David Almeida from the Fado Inverso Project performed a musical show.
Funds raised last year were used to buy a tablet and laptop with software for the special education pupils at the school. This year the €1,300 raised at the dinner will be used to buy personal computers for the school library especially for use by the less privileged students.
