Social Security systems hack DID access people’s personal data

After the suggestion that it hadn’t, it now seems that the recent Social Security systems ‘hack’ did indeed access citizens’ personal data. Observador online has managed to establish this fact from the national commission for data protection, but beyond this admission there has been no further information. Thus, known this far, is that on or before November 20 there was “an intentional and malicious intrusion into the IT network of (the country’s Social Security) platforms” for which an inquiry has been instigated. The Ministry of Labour meantime continues to insist “there is no evidence whatsoever that unauthorised access of citizens or companies’ data took place”….
