Snail lovers will be able to sample the best in the region at the Fourth Festa do Caracol, snail festival, taking place from May 26 to 28 in Castro Marim. Various local associations, clubs and restaurants will be participating in the event being staged in the leisure area of the town’s Parque Infantil (children’s park).
The band, Grupo Gerações, will be providing the music during the inauguration ceremony that begins at 7pm on Friday May 26, and the festival’s opening times on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 are 7pm and 4pm respectively. The music, every evening, will continue until after midnight, and the programme includes several regional bands and traditional folklore troupes.
