THE FEIRA NOVA supermarket on the EN 125 near Faro, was robbed recently, when thieves smashed two of the shop’s large front windows and entered the establishment in the middle of the night. A security guard detected the robbery at 7am, and alerted the Faro PSP. The total value of the stolen items, which included videos, mobile phones and DVDs, as well as the costs of the damages, are yet to be determined by the management. “The only thing we know is that the robbery occurred during the night”, says Feira Nova spokesperson Sandra Silva, who points out the positive fact that in view of the time of the theft, there were no personal injuries. According to the Public Relations official of the Faro Police, the suspects are still to be identified.
