Two of the three teams involved in the Portuguese southern region second division have made a less than successful start to the 2010/11 season.
After the first two games, Loulé, newly promoted Faro and Lagoa had managed one draw apiece, which saw them languishing at the bottom of the table.
However, a 1-0 local derby away win by Loulé over Lagoa lifted them into seventh along with equally victorious Farense two weeks ago.
A further 2-0 success over Pinhalovense last Sunday now sees the promotion hopefulls within striking distance of joint leaders Évora, Operario and Atletico who are only three points ahead.
