Sky Bar opens at Tivoli Carvoeiro

Saturday (July 22) marked the opening of Tivoli Carvoeiro’s new Sky Bar, at the top of the hotel with a “360º view of the sea and surrounding cliffs.

Dozens of people enjoyed live music, a buffet, oyster bar and champagne.

The new bar is described as a stand-alone facility to compliment the hotel, and its cocktail list “practically reads like a menu in a fine dining restaurant”, with some of the processes involved apparently taking 4 hours to produce for “just one component of a drink.”

There are classics like Daquiri and Pisco Punch and a number of special creations using typical Algarve ingredients, from oranges to Ria Formosa oysters.

The Sky Bar will also be hosting regular Saturday night sunset parties through the summer season, along with a number of special events. It is open from 6pm daily.

There will also be cocktail workshops costing €60 per person for groups of up to 6 people. It is necessary to book your place for these at least 48 hours in advance.

The new Sky Bar is part of the revamp that Tivoli Carvoeiro underwent earlier this year, seeing it upgraded to five-star status.

Several Tivoli hotels have been undergoing improvements since Thai group Minor International took over the chain in what was described as the largest hotel deal ever in Portugal, involving an estimated €294 million.
