Skull stolen in gruesome theft

Thievesbroke into a tomb in a cemetery in Tomar and stole the skull of a woman who died 20 years ago. The intruders, who also forced openedtwo lead-covered urns, separated the skull from the rest of the skeleton. The break-in was discovered by a gravedigger who alerted the authorities. The motive for this macabre crime is being investigated by police, who suspect that it could be linked eitherto a satanic ritual or the thieves hoping to find gold teeth in the skull. The family of the deceased woman were reported to be in a state of shock.
