At least 10,000 car salesmen are expected at Albufeira’s Herdade dos Salgados for the presentation of Skoda’s new SUV, the Kodiaq, in February and March.
The event will allow salesmen to learn about the vehicle and test it out.
It will be the third car show to be held at the Herdade dos Salgados complex, which has already hosted Mercedes’ ‘Global Training Experience 2014’ and Volkswagen’s ‘Tiguan Experience’ in 2015.
“Albufeira is a borough with excellent conditions to host these kinds of events,” said Albufeira mayor Carlos Silva e Sousa.
“We are well known for our hospitality, for the quality of our hotels, climate, food, beaches, and safety. In other words, we have all the conditions needed to make any event a success,” he added.
Silva e Sousa stressed that the event is expected to generate a strong economic impact not only in terms of revenue and job creation, but also in media exposure over the habitually ‘low season’.
Visitors are expected to start arriving on January 22, with the event set to officially begin the following week.
