Skin cancer screenings will be available in Alcoutim on May 4 and 5.
They will start at the rural town’s Espaço Saúde at 9am and move on to the old people’s home in Balurcos in the afternoon.
The next day (May 5) they will be held at the Centro Paroquial de Vaqueiros between 9am and 11am, moving on to the Centro Paroquial de Martinlongo at 11.30am.
Dermatologist Manuel Aguiar will be conducting the screenings, which are aimed at detecting “pre-malign or malign skin lesions” as well as providing information on how to avoid skin cancer.
