Over 100 people attended the “Algarve Sketches” exhibition opening which took place at Centro – Work & Event Space in Lagos last Saturday.
The event displayed the artwork of several members of the Urban Sketchers Algarve group to bring the attention of the visitors to the specific concept of urban sketching.
The event was preceded by the workshop “Sketching with Focus and Depth“, presented by Hélio Boto and BJ Boulter, which “was popular beyond expectations”, said organisers.
The turnout was multinational and multitalented, from first-time sketchers to established artists. The workshop took place in the square by the Old Slave Market, with plenty of different views, buildings and people to draw, and handy benches to sit on.
The exhibition will be open on Thurdays and Fridays, from 4pm to 7pm, until April 8.
