Six Ukrainian children suffering from cancers arrive in Portugal for treatment

Six Ukrainian children suffering from cancers arrived in Portugal for treatment under the European Mechanism for Civil Protection yesterday. The children, accompanied by 10 family members, will be treated under the SNS State health service in four Portuguese hospitals in Porto, Lisbon and Coimbra. The six are described as “stable”, say reports, which add that Portugal has set aside 745 hospital beds for cases that cannot be looked after in Ukraine, 12 of which are for pediatric cancers.
