Six flights cancelled due to strong winds in Madeira

Six flights into Madeira – three from UK, all run by airline Jet2 – have had to be cancelled today due to strong winds which have been affecting the island since Saturday. Boat schedules have barely fared better with at least one cruiseship having been unable to dock as per schedule. The yellow weather warning is expected to stay in place until the end of this afternoon at least.
