Six dead, one injured in shipwreck

Just one week after the tragic incident on Meco beach when six students were swept away from the beach to their deaths, the rough seas have taken another six lives. A 7-metre sport fishing boat, the Cochicho was wrecked off the beach at Costa da Caparica near Almada on Saturday afternoon and just one of the seven one board managed to swim to the beach and raise the alarm. The 37 year old man was admitted to hospital with hypothermia. The 6 bodies where later found washed up on the beach and none of the bodies were wearing life jackets whilst the wrecked boat has also been recovered.
