Sintra council offers to pay university fees for local students

Sintra council is offering to pay university fees for students whose families bring home ‘equal or less than €18,620 per year’ and have no debts to the council. The decision, which will cost the municipality around a million euros, is designed as ‘a measure of support due to the pandemic’ says a dispatch signed by Socialist mayor Basílio Horta.
