STARTING THIS month in Sintra is a programme of free music concerts that will continue until September 18. The initiative is called ‘Sintra em Festa’ (Party Time in Sintra) and comprises a total of 45 concerts, combining a broad range of music styles including soul, jazz, afro-latin, afro-brazilian, gospel, classical, Portuguese guitar, bossa nova, funk, pop rock and reggae. The concerts will be held at Jardim da Correnteza on Saturdays at 4pm and 9.30pm, and on Sundays at 4pm. During the months of July and August, the concerts will take place at the Largo do Palácio Nacional de Sintra on Saturdays and Sundays at 5pm. For more information, visit www.cm-sintra.pt.
