TO SHOW his admiration for the Silves Bombeiros, Manuel Vitória, owner of Recanto dos Mouros restaurant, organised a lunch, with the support of his suppliers Vivaldo, Aviludo, Alfredo, F. Mimosa and Camelo, at his restaurant in Silves.
Over 100 local people and friends of Manuel came to the lunch, showing their support for the Bombeiros, and enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with dancing and singing. Manuel and his suppliers provided goods and services free of charge, so that the entire 1,500 euros from ticket sales went to the Bombeiros Fund.
Commandant António Nunes and his deputy Victor Cabrita thanked everyone for their support and the confidence shown by local people for the service provided by his staff. He added that the spring dinner dance would once again be held at the Clube de Ténis in Carvoeiro on April 1.
