Silves’ Medieval Fair attracts over 150,000

Silves council has announced that around 154,000 people visited the town’s Medieval Fair, which took place between August 11 and 20.

The number is “higher than recent years”, the council added.

The fair is one of the Algarve’s biggest summer events, known for its merchants and craftsmen selling a variety of Arab-influenced goods as well as medieval battle re-enactments, musical performances and poetry readings.
