Silves lynx released in Spain

Yet another lynx born in captivity at the Silves Iberian Lynx Reproduction Centre has been released into the wild, this time in the Guadalmellato area in Andalusia, Spain.
Announcing the achievement in a press release, the Institute for the Conservation of Nature and Forests (ICNF) explained that out of the 37 lynx that have been set free, 12 were born at the Silves breeding centre.
The initiative is part of the Iberian Lynx Ex-situ Conservation programme.
