Another session of ‘Jazz nas Adegas’, an event that brings jazz music into the wine cellars of Silves, is planned for this weekend (November 12-13).
This time, it will be jazz group ‘Pandeiro in Jazz’ which will perform at Quinta de Mata Mouros on Friday, November 12 at 9pm and at Convento do Paraíso on Saturday, November 13 at 5pm.
The trio will bring a varied repertoire including some original tunes as well as their own versions of jazz classics, organisers say.
This will be the penultimate round of jazz and wine sessions this year. The closing event will see the Martin Teuscher Quartet performing at Quinta do Francês on November 26 and 27.
Tickets cost €15 – including the concert, wine tasting, tapas, a voucher to visit the local castle and archaeology museum and a bottle of wine – and can be purchased online at https://cmsilves.bol.pt or at Fnac, Worten, El Corte Inglés and CTT Correios.
The event is organised by Silves Council with the help of local winemakers, the Silves Sul school group and the Algarve barmen association.
