Live music, wine, handicraft and, of course, oranges will all be part of the second ‘Mostra Silves Capital da Laranja’, an event that showcases the town’s deliciously juicy oranges between February 16 and 18 at the Fissul building.
Local producers will be on hand selling oranges, while debates and conferences will be led by national and international experts be speaking about key issues regarding the production of citrus fruits.
The event will also feature barmen creating orange cocktails, while the local council is due to unveil a new ‘Orange Route’.
The musical programme features performances by Raquel Tavares (February 16), Amor Electro (17) and Moçoilas (18).
The event will begin each day at 10am and ends at 11pm, except on Sunday when it will come to a close at 6pm. Admission is free.
