Thursday, July 1 marks the return of Sunset Secrets to Silves Castle.
Featuring everything from live concerts to local food and wine tastings, the initiative has become one of Silves’ most popular summer events.
An event will be held every Thursday in July starting at 6.30pm. Each party will feature a musical guest, with Band Without Name due to perform on the opening day, followed by Plasticine (July 8), Naomi and The Raposeira Dub Collective (July 15), Yuca & Band (July 22) and O Gajo (July 29).
The events also feature “relaxing massages” between 7pm and 10.30pm, live performances by the saxophone duo Duo Sax, dance performances by Companhia Dancenema and a fire show by Wild Fire.
Tickets cost €5 per show and can be purchased online (https://cmsilves.bol.pt/) or at Fnac, Worten, El Corte Inglés, CTT Correios, Pousadas da Juventude or Serveasy kiosks. They can also be purchased at the castle on the day of the event. For local residents, the cost is €2 if they purchase their ticket on the day of the event and show proof of residence. Admission is free for children aged 10 and under.
