Silves Castle is about to feature in a BBC series designed to lure house buyers to Portugal. “Escape to the Continent” is already famous for having visited France, Italy, Austria, Spain, Germany and (perhaps not so cleverly) Cyprus. Its new segment on the Algarve will be followed by two others on beautiful areas in Portugal. Filming in Silves went ahead under the auspices of the local council.
