A cheque was presented to the Silves Bombeiros on July 7 by several members of Casa The Social Club.
The donations received by the bombeiros enabled the purchase of five new fire protective helmets, 12 goggles and 13 headgear balaclava pieces.
This is the second time that the expat social group has provided much needed assistance to the Silves Bombeiros, with the aim of enabling the firefighters to receive as much of the essential, protective equipment as possible.
Upcoming events for the club include a meet on July 28 at Restaurant O Frango Dourado in Silves, and on September 15 at the Village Inn Mexilhoeira da Carregação.
