The eighth round of the World Supersport Championship revs into action at Silverstone this weekend. The Algarve-based Parkalgar Honda team is confident of achieving its best result of the season at the famous track at which top rider Sam Lowes should feel very much
at home.
“I just can’t wait to get racing”, he enthuses. “I love Silverstone, I raced there twice last year and won the race and British Supersport Championship at the circuit. I know the track and what to do straight away and should be on the pace to go all out for victory”.
Team manager Simon Buckmaster is equally positive as to his young
star’s prospects.
“We have been challenging for victories all year with Sam and it would be nice to achieve it at PTR’s home race,” he concluded.
Qualifying sessions today (Friday) and Saturday will be followed by the main race at 1.30pm on Sunday.
