Silver award

Following a series of audits and assessments, the Água Hotels Vale da Lapa hotel in Carvoeiro has been awarded a silver certificate in food hygiene and safety by LusoCristal.

The award was presented to general manager Rui Ribeiro and head chef Rogério Gago by David Bungard of LusoCristal.

Rui Ribeiro said: “The award is a testament to the commitment of the entire team to comply with the strict standards required of the award and highlights the hygiene, food safety and general quality of the resort.”

Chef Rogério Gago added that next year the team would be aiming to improve on the award by gaining a gold certificate.
