Silent protest pushing for action over brutal murder of Portimão teen scheduled for Saturday

A silent protest to show people’s disgust over the lack of action by authorities to go after the purported killer of Portimão teen Rodrigo Lapa will be going ahead on Saturday at 2pm in front of the Public Ministry/pink-marble tiled Portimão court building.

Protestors want to force Portugal into pressing Brazilian authorities to apprehend principal suspect, Joaquim Lara Pinto – who fled to Brazil the day Rodrigo was reported missing.

Anyone who feels strongly about this case is welcome to take part and should wear “a black shirt or top”, say organisers.
