HUNDREDS OF drivers have been fined in China for driving too slowly or parking illegally on the world’s longest sea bridge, newly opened in the province of Zhejiang.

Since its opening on May 1, police have fined more than 300 drivers for driving too slowly or illegal parking on the emergency lanes while enjoying the ocean view and also taking photos.

The 36-km structure which spans Hangzhou Bay was designed to slash travel time between the port city of Ningbo and the city of Shanghai from four hours to two and a half.
