Paid sick leave was down by almost 100,000 requests in 2012, compared to the previous year.
According to the latest data released by the Social Security, around 1.1 million sick leave requests were acted on last year, which represents a reduction of more than 90,000 compared to 2011.
According to Social Security statistics, 1,174,058 sick leave requests were granted in 2012 while in 2011 there were 1,273,327.
