Southern classic
FOR THE first time ever, Benfica and Sporting will play each other in the Algarve. The occasion is the sixth edition of the pre-season Guadiana tournament, which will take place from July 27-29 in Vila Real de Santo António. Also present will be Spanish side Deportivo da Corunha.
Plain sailing
PRAIA DA Rocha welcomed the world’s windsurfing elite to its calm waters last month. The European championships event saw 100 competitors from 20 countries take part, featuring well-known exponents of the sport, such as France’s Antoine Albeau, Poland’s Wojtek Brzozowski and Allison Shreeve from Australia.
