Every Friday between August 2 and September 13, shoppers visiting the Portimão city centre will be able to take advantage of discounts up to 70% on various items for sale during another ‘Stock-Out’ event.
More than 50 shops are involved in the initiative that aims to boost local business and breathe new life into the city centre, once bustling with shoppers.
Shops offering the discounts are located at Rua Direita, Rua do Comércio, Rua do Colégio, Largo D. João II, Rua Vasco Gama, Rua Porta da Serra, Rua Diogo Tomé, Rua da Hortinha, Rua Diogo Gonçalves and Av.ª S. João de Deus.
Bargain hunters will be able to browse through the shops selling all sorts of items, such as clothing, household goods, jewellery, shoes and beauty products, all at reduced prices and visibly displayed outside the shops.
The Stock-Out event is jointly organised by ACRAL (the Algarve retailers association) and Portimão Câmara, and takes place on August 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 and September 6 and 13, from 7.30pm to 11.30pm.
Coffee shops in the area will remain open until late during these dates to ensure the shopping experience is even more enjoyable.
