Shoppers in the east of the Algarve will be able to take advantage of the newest retail centre in the region with Ria Shopping opening in Olhão this week.

This latest shopping centre to open in the Algarve is to be inaugurated on Monday, April 27, with the doors opening to the public the following day.

Ria Shopping has been constructed in the centre of Olhão on land between the EN125 and Rua Antero Nobre, covering more than 9,000 square metres at an estimated cost of 30 million euros.

There are 70 shop units at the centre and retailers including Sportzone, Zippy Kidstore, Worten Mobile, Brinka and Pão de Açúcar will all be opening branches at the three storey retail centre, while a food court with space for 13 establishments will also be open to the public from Tuesday.

It has been predicted by the developers of the project, Sans Frontères, that the shopping centre will provide 500 jobs to people in the area as a direct result of the shopping centre.

Various promotions to mark the opening of the shopping centre will be taking place on April 28, including free t-shirts being given to customers at the Sportzone shop, while stocks last, and other stores offering opening day discounts.
