Hotel || Its plan is to “reposition” the Algarve’s flagship Pine Cliffs Resort as one of the world’s leading family holiday destinations. Thus, the expansion and renovation plans for Sheraton Algarve, the resort’s Luxury Collection hotel, will take place over the next three years in a number of different phases – the first of which began on Tuesday, November 4.
The plans involve changes to all the hotel’s rooms, public areas, restaurants and bars. As renovation work gets underway, new building will see a further 78 luxury suites, a new Italian restaurant, a designer spa, as well as an underground car park.
The Sheraton Algarve and Pine Cliffs Resort were both awarded at this year’s 2014 World Travel Awards, with the latter winning “Portugal’s Leading Family Resort” accolade, and Pine Cliffs Residences being prized as “Europe’s Leading Hotel Residences”.
