Three sexagenarian friends have begun an impressive 738km hike along Portugal’s EN2 road. The journey started on Monday in Chaves and will end on April 11 in Faro.
Orlando Valério, 68, João Silva, 60, and Francisco Romeira, 61, have been going on daily morning walks for over three years and finally decided to tackle the EN2 road, which authorities in Portugal have been promoting as Europe’s ‘Route 66’.
