A supreme court in Porto has handed out stiff prison sentences to a trafficking ring that forced young Romanian girls to act as sex slaves. The youngsters were lured to Portugal on the promise of jobs in restaurants, and then forced to sell their bodies and threatened with death if they went to police. One victim, 16, told how she was forced to have sex 10 times a day.
