Seven scouts injured in Amarante motorway crash

Seven scouts, aged between nine and 18, were injured – one seriously – when the coach they were travelling in was hit by a truck on the A4 motorway near Vila Caiz late on Monday afternoon. The coach was transporting the scouts home from a camping trip when it is understood to have suffered engine failure. The truck collided with the coach when it was stationary. All seven victims were transported to hospital.
