Will Smith plays a suicidal man, Ben Thomas, who has planned his upcoming death and used his position working for the US tax department to gain information on people he may be able to help when he dies.
The disillusioned man chooses six people who he believes deserve his organs after death and a seventh who will inherit his home.
The thought-provoking film shows the journey of Ben as he chooses the lucky seven recipients of everything he has and the reason behind his generous gifts to strangers following his bizarre eventual suicide.
