Seven people were injured – one of them seriously – in a car crash on the Algarve’s A22 motorway on Monday (July 3).
The accident happened at around 2pm near the Algoz junction in Silves.
A 17-year-old Portuguese youth was badly injured and had to be extricated from one of the vehicles, while three of the other six victims were also taken to Faro hospital.
Traffic was cut off for two hours on one of the motorway’s lanes.
