Sesimbra fire

A total of 140 firemen, 30 police, two amphibian planes and a helicopter fought a forest fire near Alfarim, in Sesimbra, on Monday as high winds swept it perilously close to residential properties. The suspected case of arson – the largest fire in the southern part of the country this year – was finally brought under control after six hours. PJ investigators are now searching the area for clues as to how the blaze was started.
