The British Consulate in Portimão is organising a series of seminars, conducted in English, on the benefits of registering with the Portuguese authorities. The events will take place across the Algarve during the months of February and March.
Guest speakers from the Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras (Immigration Department); Autoridade Regional de Saúde do Algarve (Regional Health Authority) as well as representatives from the local town council in the area of the events will be talking about the benefits of registering with these departments and also the services that they offer and provide to local residents.
It is the first time that these organisations and presenters have come together at a single event to share information with the public and will provide a unique opportunity for questions and answers on matters of interest to residents.
Whilst entrance is free, as a gesture of support to local communities, the British Consulate is inviting those attending to bring a non-perishable item of food to the event to be donated to a local charity.
