SEF discovers 132 immigrants living in six warehouses in Monte Sabino, Faro

Reinforcing the fact that affordable rental accommodation is like gold dust almost everywhere, SEF (borders and foreigners agency) has released a statement today to say that it has found 132 immigrants living in six warehouses in Monte Sabino, Faro. Each warehouse was equipped with line of bunk beds, which the immigrants were understood to have rented for €100 per mattress. The rent on the warehouses is €700 per month, so someone will have been making a hefty profit. SEF became aware of the situation by dint of the fact that it had so many requests for residency from immigrants giving the same address. The men are understood to all be working in nearby agricultural explorations.
