Security at football games

Dear Editor,
I completely concur with the sentiments expressed by Skip Bandele regarding the heavy-handed treatment by police and security teams at the Farense/Portimonense game.
There seems to be no logic as to how the police and security teams react. I have had totally different experiences at Benfica’s Stadium of Light – good and bad – but will not visit again because of the uncertainty.
Interesting, the match report of the Farense game states that there were 1,500 spectators present yet the League’s (LPFP) official website states the crowd was 747. What happened to the missing 753? It would be interesting to know… Or, heavens forbid, was this creative accounting a tax avoidance issue?
