Secretary of State for Health, Manuel Delgado, officially reopened the Vaqueiros health centre last week, four years after it closed.
The infrastructure, located in the village’s old primary school, will provide basic healthcare to 350 patients in and around the rural village of Vaqueiros in Alcoutim and boast a team of one doctor, one nurse and an assistant.
It will receive patients on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 2pm and 5pm.
